{gift registry | news}

Brides are no longer registering for traditional wedding gifts on their Bridal Registry. Current wedding couples may no longer require household items traditionally requested because they have been living on their own for any number of years.

In the end, china and flatware are often put into storage, toasters are returned, and serving platters are re-gifted, but wedding photography is forever!

This is where The Wedding Photo Registry is an exciting idea!

The Photo Registry is not limited to just weddings, it can be applied to baby registries, bridal showers, engagement parties, birthdays, etc.

Here's How It Works!

Bride & Groom...

The Krista Mason Photo Registry is a great way to increase your budget for wedding photography services by allowing family, friends and guests to purchase gift certificates toward your wedding photography.

Krista Mason Photography provides a link for the bride and groom to be placed on their wedding website. The link provides friends and family with information on how to help the bride and groom with their wedding photography.

The Wedding Photo Registry is the perfect gift for the bride and groom!

To get started add Krista Mason Photography to your wedding website registry list and the following link http://kristamason.blogspot.com/2010/03/gift-registry-news_30.html

Family and Friends…

The Wedding Photo Registry allows guests to purchase wedding images and books for the wedding couple. This is a gift that will not be returned and cherished for a lifetime! The gift buyer may simply call our office to place an order.

The gift certificates can be purchased in any amount starting at $25 and will be applied to any additional purchases the couple desires. These can be anything from framed wall portraits, additional pages, or beautiful gallery wraps for their home. The limits are endless and are customized to each couple.

Once a gift registry request has been processed, gift certificates can be created with your own customized message and we'll mail the certificate to you or directly to the bride and groom.

One of the most cherished possessions the bride and groom will ever have is their wedding photography. Wouldn't it be nice to be a part of this lasting memory?

Call us at 310.569.1535 or e-mail at Krista@kristamason.com to purchase your gift certificates.

{wendy & lei | e-session}

Last week I photographed Wendy and Lei for their engagement session. When we met to discuss locations, the only requirement they had was for it to not look like LA and definitely not the beach. Wendy and Lei work and live in LA and as they see it every day they didn’t want it for their engagement images.

While surfing around the web, they had seen the amazing images from Grey Stone Mansion in Beverly Hills and decided that would be the place for their perfect engagement session. And so it was, that is after a little bit of going back and forth with location and scheduling, lol.

Wendy & Lei are a super sweet couple that enjoys laughter, which I love. With Wendy and Lei the laughs just kept rolling. You could feel how much they love eachother and relish in one another’s company.

We started off the session with a little fun and some balloons. With the wind factor, it was very amusing, lol. Poor Wendy kept getting attacked by the bouncy pink balloons. Grey Stone Mansion has beautiful greenery and an amazing view of Downtown Los Angeles. Even though Wendy & Lei didn’t want anything that looked like LA, I couldn’t resist. And we got a true representation of LA with the first-rate haze and smog, lol. Nonetheless still a marvelous view. On the property is a charming little pond with Koi fish and turtles. The Koi fish have meaning to Lei, as his mom had a few small Koi fish when he was a young boy. Of course, my fascination with turtles made it irresistible for me to photograph the playful turtles and even post an image on the blog, lol. Thanks for letting me into your world guys, I had a fabulous time!

P.S. Thanks Simple for referring such a wonderful couple!

{brittany & brendan | e-session}

I am excited to share Brittany & Brendan’s 1940 modern twist themed engagement session. We started out around downtown and then headed to Union Station to wrap up the prefect setting for the 40’s theme.

Brittany & Brendan are a fun loving couple that like to joke around (a lot, lol), as you can see in the images below. We all had a blast playing around, tossing popcorn, dancing in the streets and just goofing off. We gave Brittany and Brendan their first practice at their first dance, which turned out to be a lot of spinning, lol.

As we walked around and goofed off, while capturing some amazing images, I got to know the wonderful Brittany and Brendan. Both are very sweet and make a wonderful couple, and they like to have a good time. I am really looking forward to spending their wedding day with them in July at Spanish Hills. I love Brittany’s attitude about photographs, she can’t get enough, just like me. Hopefully somewhere in the midst of the photos there will be a ceremony for the wedding day, jk, I think. Haha. I am very glad to have gotten to spend some time with you guys and hope you had as much fun as we did.

{alivia | portrait}

A couple weeks ago I had the joy of photographing Alivia for her 6 month session. Little Alivia is so adorable with the drool dripping down her chin her big green eyes and the happy pouncing and slapping of the floor. 6 months is one of my favorite stages to photograph. The joy and happiness of a chucky rolly baby just makes me smile and laugh with them. :-) Alivia must be getting used to being photographed with us because we even got a few smiles out of her. YAY! I am looking forward to her next session and a few more smiles. Loving our new backdrop, can't wait to use it again.

In addition to the blog posts, I thought I would spice things up a bit and add a slideshow of some of my favorite images. The first slideshow I am proud to share with you is from Alisha and Tyler's wedding on February 20, 2010. You can also view their blog posts below for more details. Alisha & Tyler's wedding was so much fun and I love Alisha's style and am very excited to share this new feature with them. This is something new I plan on adding to each post, so stay tuned for more. We would love your feedback as well.
